The book is not divided in conventional chapters, but is structured into two parts
The Introduction should be a brief survey on how nomadism has been discussed in the fields of art and architecture until today. Furthermore the term “urban nomad” will be discussed and based on city concepts, urbanism, mobility and globalization.
Subject > urban nomad
The contributions of artists, architects and cultural workers are the main part of the book.
They should demonstrate diverse approaches to a nomad lifestyle as artistic practice, which concretises the concept of an urban nomad.
"The act of walking is to the urban system what the speech act is to language or to the statements uttered." (Michel De Certeau)
The graphical concept is as important as the discussed content of the publication. By playing with text and graphical material, mixing and merging the contributions, a map should be created, which allows new and diverse interpretations of how to read a book
"The observer him-/herself should play an active role in perceiving the world and have a creative part in developing his/her image." (Kevin Lynch)

Referring to the style of dictionaries and travel guides, the book should be bound by a PVC cover. A protection cover, which folds out as a map and offers an instruction of how to read the book in another way

The book cannot just be read page-by-page, but criss-crossing pages and by resorting the page order. Therefore you have to cut out the pages and place them next to each other. Connections, relations and parallels between the articles should thus be exposed. The book gains an additional level of reception by the destruction and new construction of the pages, where text and pictures become places on a map
